ARE YOUR SMOOTHIES SUITABLE FOR DIABETICS?

Your best choice is probably our Strength smoothie, which has no carbs at all and a really good amount of fibre. Other great options are Joy, Love, and Calm. They each have less than 20 grams of total carbohydrates, and less than 10 grams of sugar per serving.

The detailed nutrition facts for all of our smoothies are available on our website, so you can look through our flavours and find the ingredients and nutrition values that suit you best.

SmoothiesGo smoothies can be a great choice for people who are managing diabetes. We’re proud that all SmoothiesGo smoothies are designed to have a low glycemic load: there’s no added sugar at all, and they include healthy fats and fibre to slow the digestion of sugars, which means they reduce the impact of sugars on digestion. If you blend our smoothies with water, that will also help keep the glycemic load as low as possible. (Obviously, the severity of someone’s diabetes can mean a smoothie that works for one person’s blood sugar might cause trouble for someone else’s, so you should always double-check with your physician or nutritionist.)

DO YOU HAVE ANY SMOOTHIES FOR WEIGHT LOSS?

All of our smoothies are created with healthy eating and living in mind. Each one is designed to have quite a low glycemic load: any sugars in our smoothies are from real fruits or vegetables in their natural form; there’s no added sugar at all. And since SmoothiesGo smoothies are made from whole foods with all of their natural fiber — along with healthy and filling fats from things like nuts, seeds, and avocado — the sugar from the fruit and vegetables is digested slowly, which minimizes the impact on your blood sugar levels all the more.

The following smoothies are GREAT for weight loss and management:

Love: 260 cal, 10g healthy fat, 6g protein

Bliss: 300 cal, 18g of healthy fat, 8g of protein

Peace: 320 cal, 9g if healthy fat, 8g protein

Hope: 320 cal, 12g healthy fat, 10g protein

Cool: 340 cal, 12g of healthy fat, 6g protein

Power: 340 cal, 14g healthy fat, 10g protein

Calm: 440 cal, 32g healthy fat, 18g protein

You can give any of our smoothies a 10-gram protein boost by blending them with milk. Some people add protein powder too, which is another great way to boost protein and satiety.

And our Joy, Strength, Passion, Cheer, and Glow smoothies are all ideal low-calorie, high-health pick-me-up snacks.


DO YOUR SMOOTHIES CONTAIN ANY ADDED SUGAR OR PRESERVATIVES?

Each of our smoothies have no added sugars, preservatives or artificial ingredients. Each smoothie pack contains only ingredients that are raw, unrefined and where possible, in their natural form.

ARE YOUR SMOOTHIES RECOMMENDED FOR PREGNANCY?

Absolutely. Our smoothies are designed in consultation with a nutritionist. They all have 100% natural ingredients, no additives, no preservatives, no added sugars, and they’re all really fresh and full of vitamins and minerals.

Pregnant women may want to consider blending their smoothies with milk since it’s recommended that they get 3-4 servings of dairy per day (as opposed to 2 servings per day for women who aren’t pregnant). Power, Hope, Cool, Peace, Love, and Calm all taste particularly great with milk.

Pregnant mothers with gestational diabetes should please let us know; we can recommend specific flavors that will have the least impact on your blood sugar.


DO YOUR SMOOTHIES HAVE PROTEIN IN THEM? ARE THEY A GOOD MEAL REPLACEMENT?

Yes!! Our smoothies are designed with healthy eating and living in mind. Each smoothie is made with real fruits and vegetables in their natural form (rather than in a puree) so they include all their natural fibre, along with heathy and filling fats from ingredients like nuts, seeds, and avocado. 

The following smoothies all have a good amount of protein, and can make a great meal replacement:

Love has 6g protein

Bliss has 8g of protein

Cool has 8g protein

Peace has 8g protein

Hope has 10g protein

Power has 10g protein

Calm has 18g protein

Nostalgia has 20g of protein!

If you’d like to boost the protein even more, you can blend your SmoothiesGo smoothie with milk rather than water, which will boost the protein content by an additional 10 grams or so. And if you’re lactose intolerant, you can use lactose-free milk, which will make your smoothie even more filling.

HOW ABOUT ALLERGENS?

All of our smoothies and bowls are gluten-friendly. Some of them do contain or may have come in contact with allergens, such as tree nuts or peanuts, soy, sesame, milk, wheat, mustard and sulphite. We strongly recommend avoiding our smoothies if you have serious allergies.
